Who are We? from 1960

In the 1960s, Jaume Vanrell Bergas decided to leave his agricultural land in Llubí, in the interior of Mallorca, and buy a plot of land by the sea in Puerto de Alcudia. His whole family thought it was madness, because in those days land by the sea was not as highly valued as it is today, and they did not support him. But he was clear on one thing: while he was working the land, he saw the planes flying over the Mallorcan sky and he thought that life was changing and that this was undoubtedly the time to take a risk and bet on change. So he buys the land, settles down and our story begins. Rent a Car Vanrell is born.

He buys a small fleet of cars: Seat 600, Seat 1500 and Sinca 1000, among others. He starts renting them out and gradually buys more. He began to provide a service to the main hotels in the area and to his select clientele. He also opened a bar, now Las Sirenas Restaurant.

In the 1990s, the company expanded its network of offices along the bay of Alcudia and began operating out of Son Sant Joan airport.

At the turn of the century, the second generation, led by Toni Vanrell, took over the reins and the company grew, increasing its fleet to more than 1000 vehicles for the 2016 season. Working with local event organisers is another of the activities we have initiated in the new millennium.

We are working now on a new line of business focused on the rental of luxury cars from major brands such as Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Porsche, Chrysler, Mercedes, BMW, Range Rover, Audi, Jaguar, etc., entering a new sector, that of chauffeur-driven car rental. Our latest acquisition is the Chrysler 300 'Bentley edition' limousine in metallic white.

This website, as well as our new commercial line, has been created to promote the new limousine service, but it is also a tribute to our special history, a way of sharing all these years of effort and perseverance with all our customers and visitors.
